Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

149

Engineering detail drawings communicate design intent along the entire supply and production line to ensure that mechanical parts meet a desired form, fit, and function.

In this course you’ll learn to understand how different units of measure are represented on engineering drawings, to define the symbols used on engineering drawings and to identify the components of a dimension. You’ll understand Rule #1 of GD&T, you’ll be able to list tolerance zone shapes, to define size and to define the local size of a feature of size. Finally, you’ll be able to define the tolerance zone for the position of a feature at RFS and to define the tolerance zone for the position of a feature at MMC.
